I regularly review papers for the following journals: IEEE T-IT, IEEE T-Com, IEEE TMBMC, IEEE JSAIT, and DAM.
I also review papers for the following conferences: IEEE ISIT, IEEE ITW, and IEEE ICASSP.
At IIT Madras, I organize the IITM INFER Seminar Series, which regularly hosts theoretical EE/CS talks by distinguished speakers, in a tutorial format. I am a convener of the Research Science Initiative - Chennai (RSI-C) – a 6 week-long residential programme, run jointly by IIT-M, CMI, and SASTRA University, which aims at getting talented school students exposed to research/deep tech./science via talks and demos by faculty.
Outside Academia
- I was an avid quizzer, and have taken part in, and hosted, quite a few intercollegiate quizzes in my undergraduate days. At IISc, I have twice co-hosted the general quizzes as part of the Open Day celebrations at the ECE department.
- In a much earlier avatar, I was a part of the Indian Schools Debating Society. The tournaments then involved, almost exclusively, schools in Chennai, but the organization has now expanded greatly to include schools from all over India. The debates followed the format of the World Schools Style.
- Several of my art works (acrylic on canvas, primarily) have been on display in art exhibitions held at the Lalit Kala Akademi (National Academy of Art), Chennai.
